Family photos in the canola crop

I have a lot of mums of older kids say to me that “we haven’t had pictures in years” - often assuming that it is “too late.” It really isn’t! There is joy in capturing every stage, and the ribbing and friendship and actual funny humans of the tween/teen years is worth pausing on - not toddlers, not adults. I also always love the little window I get into life with kids in the ‘next stage’ from mine.

We rescheduled for wild spring weather and nearly pulled the plug again but I’m so glad we didn’t - we had the whole festival of light/clouds/sun/wind and a magic array of backdrops to choose from in and around the family farm/weekender near Rochester. An absolute treat to photograph Belinda and her beautiful boys.
