Family photography at home | Bendigo & Central Victoria

One of the most common things I hear is “oh I’d love to get family photos but my kids would never….”

They might, actually.

They don’t need to stand still or smile perfectly or balance on their head on a moving vehicle while eating raw broccoli (I’d be impressed, but that would potentially be a difficult photo to nail). They can just be. I start the session with the ‘mantle piece photos’ of everyone staring at the camera and get that one out of the way and then - we are off. Home is great because we can explore and the kids can show me their favourite spots (you don’t have to be on a farm or property for this!) and everyone is comfortable. There is something about being outside together just before bed time without phones and the urgency of the usual evening routine. Someone will invariably get a grass seed in their shoe or something (there is always something!) but that’s usually an opportunity for a cuddle or shoulder ride, a game or a story.
